To race committee, past participants, sponsors, supporters, and interested parties:

Unfortunately, the 2009 Shipyard Cup (SYC) regatta will not be held this year.

Due to our inability to attract sponsorship participation we have made this extremely difficult decision. It is our intention to take a year off and revisit the 2010 SYC with strong motivation to re-establish this exciting and fun event.

On behalf of all the people who pitched in to make the Cup a success over the past seven years from the volunteers, the sailors, the spectators, and the previous sponsors we thank you for your past support and participation, we shall see what the future holds.
